Moore School faculty members honored with a host of accolades
Moore School faculty are recognized as top scholars in their respective fields and
gain worldwide attention for their scholarly research and dedicated teaching. They
are also awarded accolades from renowned industry organizations and journals.
In recent months, many Moore School faculty were acknowledged for their top-notch
research and overall contributions to their industries.
Rare feat by three Moore School faculty with their inclusion in the Poets&Quants’
Top 50 Undergraduate Business School Professors of 2023 list
While most institutions are elated to have one faculty member featured in the P&Q’s 50 Best Undergraduate Business School Professors list, three Moore School faculty
members achieved the honor in 2023. More than 500 nominations came from students,
alumni, colleagues and school deans putting in their own words what these outstanding
professors meant to their students, their departments and the business community at
large. Nominations came from more than 50 of the best undergraduate business programs,
including a dozen international schools. Despite this competition among popular and
beloved professors, three Moore School faculty were among the top 50 list for 2023.

Along with his inclusion in the Poets&Quants Top 50 Professor list, Albino-Pimentel
was also awarded the Academy of Management IM Division FIU Business Emerging Scholar Award in 2023.

Beth Renninger
Director of the Center for Sales Success, marketing lecturer

Renninger brings more than 20 years of marketing and sales executive leadership experience
to the Moore School. She most recently led the Verizon digital transformation of
the wireline telecom business for both consumer and small business national markets
for broadband, video and voice services across web, mobile, social media and chat
channels.

As the founder and leader of the Center for Sales Success, Renninger has built the
sales program in partnership with Cliff and Cathy Brune (alumni benefactors) and formed
partnerships with 19 national and global firms like Oracle Netsuite and Nucor. Through
these efforts, Renninger has raised more than $1 million in funds for the the sales
students and initiatives.
For the Poets&Quants honor, Renninger received more than 90 nominations from past
and current students, showing the impact she has on students in her Moore School role.

Finance professor honored with lifetime achievement award
Finance professor Allen Berger was selected by the Southern Finance Association Board of Directors to receive the
SFA Lifetime Service Award for a lifetime of service to the finance profession. Berger
also recently published his third book: “The Economic and Financial Impacts of the
COVID-19 Crisis Around the World - Expect the Unexpected” with fellow finance faculty
Mustafa Karakaplan and Raluca Roman.

International business professor Tatiana Kostova was among 86 most influential Economics
and Business researchers worldwide, based on the 2023 Web of Science Group’s Highly Cited Researcher list. These scholars have “authored multiple Highly Cited
Papers™, which rank in the top 1percent by citations for their field and publication
year in the Web of Science over the past decade.”
Kostova was also awarded the 2023 Academy of Management International Management Division Hyundai Motor Eminent Scholar
Award , which recognizes lifetime achievement in international management scholarship.
