Darla Moore School of Business

The Department of Economics at the Moore School has a distinguished faculty with research interests covering a wide range of topics in the field. The department offers undergraduate degrees in economics at both the Moore School and the College of Arts and Sciences. At the graduate level, we offer programs leading to master's and Ph.D. degrees.

Bachelor's in Economics

Two degree programs in economics are available:

All economics courses are taught by faculty at the Moore School. Students earning a degree from the Moore School take additional business core courses, while students earning a degree from the College of Arts and Sciences take more courses in nonbusiness subjects.

Master of Arts in Economics

The Moore School's Master of Arts in Economics program combines a solid foundation in economics with an emphasis on applying that knowledge to real-world situations. While the program prepares students for careers as professional economists in government and business, some graduates use the degree as a springboard toward further education in law or a doctoral degree in business or economics.

Ph.D. in Economics

This well-established doctoral program offered through the Department of Economics features a comprehensive yet flexible curriculum and prepares students for careers as research economists in academic, government and private settings.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
