Investing in Data
Founded in 2019, the Moore School's Data Lab is a hands-on learning hub dedicated to ensuring our undergraduate students are data proficient and future-ready. At its core, the lab supports MGSC 291 students as they tackle advanced statistics and machine learning using R—skills essential for success in today’s data-driven world.
As part of our evolving mission, we’re also embracing generative AI, teaching students how to prompt effectively and responsibly. These skills not only enhance their performance in class but also prepare them for the rapidly changing technological landscape beyond graduation.
Currently undergoing an exciting refresh, the Data Lab is exploring expanded offerings. We’re working on some truly innovative initiatives designed to enrich the student experience both academically and professionally. Stay tuned.
The Moore School added the Data Lab in spring 2019. In its first full semester in fall 2019, more than 1,500 students received assistance in the Data Lab.
The Moore School is emphasizing data proficiency for all students. To achieve this goal, MBA students are encouraged to pursue graduate certificates in business analytics.
