Resident and non-resident refer to the students' citizenship and residency status with the state of South Carolina.

The MIB is a one-year program at UofSC in Columbia, South Carolina. A graduate from this program will earn a Master of International Business degree.
The MIB Double-Degree is a two-year program with one year at UofSC and one year at one of our international partner universities. A graduate from this program will earn two master's degrees from two universities: a Master of International Business from UofSC and a second master's degree from an international partner.
Both fellowships and graduate assistantships are available. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate a strong academic background, meet minimum standardized test scores and demonstrate global leadership potential based on community service and extracurricular activities.

The Rising Star Fellowship strives to increase diversity in the graduate school ranks by recruiting students from South Carolina's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Rising Star Fellows receive funding to offset the cost of tuition, health insurance and other associated fees.
