Participating in Decision in a Day allows you to waive several application requirements.
Instead of submitting an application essay, two letter of recommendations and participating
in the required interview as part of the application process, you’ll interview with
faculty members and firm representatives at the event. This reduces the time it takes
for you to complete your application and provides you with a same-day admission decision
well in advance of program deadlines.
When is Decision in a Day?
Submitted applications and application materials must be received by 11:59 p.m. on the due date to finalize
your attendance at the event.
GPA: minimum 3.25 (cumulative OR most recent 60 hours)
Major GPA: minimum 3.00
GMAT: minimum score of 570 OR received GMAT waiver
International applicants: TOEFL: 100 total OR IELTS: 7.0 total and 7.0 in each section OR received waiver
Once you register online (links are listed above, under When Is Decision in a Day), you will receive instructions on confirming your eligibility and submitting your
online application. Please note that there are event-specific instructions for completing
your application, and not following these instructions can impact your ability to
attend the event. Your event registration expresses your interest in attending the
event and does not guarantee you an event invitation.
Email your unofficial transcript(s), GMAT score(s) or waiver request, and TOEFL/IELTS
scores (if applicable) to macc@moore.sc.edu for event eligibility confirmation. Transcripts from non-U.S. schools need to be
converted to the U.S. 4.0 scale using a member of the NACES. Study abroad classes taken at a non-U.S. school included on your U.S. school transcript
do not need to be converted.
Wait for an eligibility confirmation email and formal invitation to the event before
submitting your online application. Event-specific application instructions and required
materials will be outlined in this email.
What do past participants think?

"The presentation was very informative and everyone was keen to get to know all the
prospective students and help them determine if USC was the best fit for them. The
professors who were present displayed a very high level of enthusiasm and confidence
in the program. The lunch afterwards gave us the chance to meet professors we did
not interview with, but whose classes we would potentially take."

"I come from a family of University of South Carolina graduates and it was my number
one choice in graduate programs. I weighed my options at other schools, but I just
loved the school atmosphere that the Moore school gives. I chose to come after the
Decision in a Day event where I learned more about the program while getting to speak
with faculty and accounting firm employees. I felt very welcome from the moment I
stepped on campus and that is when I knew that I wanted to get my MACC at USC"
