U.S.-China Relations: Issues, Challenges and Prospects

Featuring David Firestein, the president and CEO of the George H. W. Bush Foundation
for U.S.-China Relations. More than 450 people from 15 countries registered for the
virtual discussion, which focused on the tumultuous relationship between the U.S.
and China.
As part of Firestein's public forum, USC faculty offered additional insights on U.S.-China
relations.
Michael Murphree, assistant professor of international business, discussed global value chains and
offered insights on how the economic policies and rising tensions have impacted South
Carolina exports and investment.
