Study Abroad

The World is Your Classroom.

The Office of International Activities

The Moore School's Office of International Activities provides students with the opportunity to study abroad through short-term, faculty-led courses known as “Global Classrooms.” These courses expose students to new ideas and cultures in an abbreviated amount of time.

Take a look at our global classrooms brochure.

Faculty-Led Study Abroad

Global Classrooms are open to all majors. As part of each course, students will have access to Moore School faculty from the marketing, management, finance, economics, international business and management science departments. The Global Classroom experience will provide multinational business meetings at top companies and outstanding cultural experiences in more than 20 locations around the world.

Courses are offered during Spring Term — Break and Maymester.

Semester Abroad for International Business Students

All undergraduate international business students spend one semester abroad as part of the Global International Business program. Current undergraduate international business students can also apply to participate in one of five cohort programs where they can expand their knowledge of a specific region or area of interest.

Semester Exchange for Other Moore School Students

The Education Abroad Office at the University of South Carolina offers numerous opportunities for both inbound and outbound students to participate in international exchange programs at more than 40 universities.

Moore School Global Classroom Scholarships

Scholarships are available for undergraduate Moore School students participating in a Moore School Global Classroom. Students are selected based on demonstrated merit in the classroom, financial need, compelling essays, locations of intended study and, in some instances, residency.

Students are encouraged to be as detailed as possible when completing the online application.  Completion of this application will also include general scholarships not specific to studying abroad.

  • Spring Term — Break deadline: Nov. 3, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.
  • Maymester deadline: Feb. 9, 2025 by 11:59 p.m.
