Darla Moore School of Business

Jobs and Internships

Many ways to launch your career

Various methods are employed to facilitate job placement for Moore School students, all managed by Handshake, UofSC’s custom online recruiting program. The focus is on customer service, with the employer acting as the customer. This employer focus also benefits students because solid relationships are built and maintained with key corporate, government and nonprofit entities.

This process is the traditional method of employers visiting campus to personally interview pre-selected candidates.

This type of event is designed to introduce employers, available positions, career paths and opportunities to targeted student populations. These events provide students an excellent opportunity to learn about specific industries and companies. In addition, these are often key networking events leading to future job opportunities.

This process allows employers to post positions for which students apply, although the employer's intentions might not be to initially visit campus. Often, if employers identify strong candidates meeting their criteria, they follow up directly via telephone or on-site interviews.

All students active with Handshake can upload a general resume that is published in the Office of Career Management Web Resume Book(s). The books are easily accessible to employers on Handshake.
