MIB Double-Degree program empowers students to build worldwide connections

The Moore School continues innovating with leading international business programs so that students like Justin Le, ’24 MIB, can benefit from a robust global curriculum while also traveling the world to learn best business practices.

The Moore School’s Master of International Business Double-Degree program is a two-year program with an international business curriculum that offers students the ability to earn two master’s degrees in two countries.

Through this immersive program, students adopt a new perspective on the world while studying at the one of the leading international institutions — the Moore School. The program currently has seven international partners in the following countries at the following universities: Helsinki, Finland (Aalto University); Istanbul, Turkey (Koc University); Mannheim, Germany (University of Mannheim); Milan, Italy (Bocconi University); Paris, France (ESCP Business School); and Shanghai, China (Jiao Tong University).

The Moore School is expanding the MIB Double-Degree program with two new institutions beginning this fall.

The ESADE Business School (Barcelona, Spain) offers MIB students the Master of Science in International Management degree. Their international management program is ranked No. 8 worldwide by Financial Times, also ranking No. 7 in Europe and No. 1 in Spain.

The Vlerick Business School (with campuses in Ghent, Louven, and Brussels, Belgium) offers a number of degree options for the MIB Double-Degree program:

  • International Management and Strategy (Brussels Campus)
  • Financial Management (Brussels Campus)
  • General Management: Leadership Track (Ghent Campus)
  • Marketing and Digital Transformation (Leuven Campus)
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Ghent Campus)
  • General Management: Business Analytics and AI Track (Leuven Campus)

Both the International Management and Financial Management programs are ranked in the top 25 programs in the world by Financial Times.

As one of the first MIB Double-Degree students enrolling at the Vlerick Business School, Le said he gets the best of both worlds learning business practices from their and the Moore School’s MIB curriculums while also gaining cultural experience through immersive international travel.

“I enrolled in the MIB Double-Degree at USC to expand my horizons in international business,” Le said. “I wanted a high-quality education, but I also knew I wanted to develop professionally through the classes and workshops that the program provides.”

The MIB Double-Degree program assists students in building lifelong communities both abroad and locally — this gives students opportunities for jobs in markets worldwide. These communities create vast professional networks in many industries.

“I have learned so much about my friend’s cultures just at USC,” Le said. “I have made lifelong friendships with people from all over the world, such as Italy, France, England, Egypt, Lebanon and many more.”

Le said his newly built network will also help him when he goes abroad in fall 2024.

“When I move to Belgium for my second degree, I won’t be going alone. I have a strong network of friends in Europe that I can reach out to for personal and professional activities,” he said. “In turn, I get to make friends at Vlerick Business School and expand my network again!”

Le graduates from the MIB Double-Degree program in 2025 after completing the Masters in International Management and Strategy at the Vlerick Business School.

“The Double-Degree will help me explore my options and find a job that best suits me when the opportunity arises, he said. “After graduation, I plan on working in the consulting field back at home in the U.S.”
