Three School of Journalism and Mass Communications faculty directed and produced “TRACES, Voices of the Second Generation,” which follows 19 children of Holocaust survivors telling their parents’ stories and the impact it had on “second-generation survivors.”

Visiting visual communications instructor Isaac Brown directed the PBS documentary and associate professor Sabrina Habib (visual communications)  and Jeff Williams (advertising sequence head) served as associate producers.

“This project shows the generational impact of the Holocaust, these are stories of bravery and resilience that need to be preserved and honored,” says Habib.

The film premiered Jan. 28,  in Jacksonville, Florida, at the Wilson Center for the Arts with an audience of 500.  A showing is being arranged for Columbia later in the year.
