Students, alumni and industry partners are critical to achieving our vision. Advisory groups are organized to support the college by providing input, feedback and assistance as needed.
The CIC Alumni Council represents alumni of both the School of Journalism and Mass Communications and School of Information Science. Alumni Council members support alumni programming to enhance career and social networking opportunities for alumni and students as they prepare to join the alumni family.
The CIC Dean’s Ambassadors are a multifaceted group of students who represent our two schools and are some of the best and brightest among our student population. Our Ambassadors add a relatable experience to our college’s initiatives. They assist with giving building tours, development programming and career services.
The Dean’s Leadership Council is a diverse group of leading professionals and thought leaders committed to supporting the vision of the College of Information and Communications. The council also assists with activities that align with the most current industry drivers in both the commercial and public sectors worldwide.
The iSchool Fellows program will help enhance the school’s curriculum by building a direct line to leading thinkers in the field. They provide critical input on curriculum and course design, offer insight on research projects, advise faculty and students and serve as guest speakers for classes, workshops and other special events.
