Areas to Support

Carolina Fund

CIC Carolina Fund

When you give to the CIC Carolina Fund you're supporting the areas of greatest need for our college's two schools - Journalism and Mass Communications and Library and Information Science.

Cockys Reading Express

South Carolina Center for Community Literacy Fund

When the college launched Children, Libraries and Literacy in 2005, it crafted a statewide initiative to reduce illiteracy in South Carolina by taking a fresh and tactically new approach. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the cycle of illiteracy among South Carolina’s children and adults, particularly in underserved or disadvantaged communities.

Dean's Circle

Dean's Excellence Fund

Provides support for Dean Reichert’s immediate needs of the college such as scholarships for students, financial assistance for student competition teams, technology and programs for students and faculty, bringing speakers to campus and more.

Scholarships

CIC Alumni Society Scholarship Fund

Alumni donors can provide tuition assistance for students attending one of our two schools: Journalism and Mass Communications and Information Science. This scholarship fund was created by our alumni, for children of our alumni.

Study Abroad

Study Abroad Fund

Study abroad offers students amazing opportunities to study at a foreign university during a semester, year or summer abroad. This program promotes professional connections outside of South Carolina, hones skills in unfamiliar environments and explores international perspectives.

Giving Society

Giving Society

An annual donation of $1,000 or more to the college qualifies donors for membership into the Dean’s Circle Society. This group is comprised of alumni, community leaders and industry advocates who recognize the value and significance of the college. In return, members are invited to unique events throughout the year.
