Background

Jason Porter is an award-winning animator and designer having worked with some of the largest brands in the world, including Marvel, Sprint, Volkswagen, Target, Taco Bell, and Disney. He is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Research

Porter’s research interests are in the narrative capabilities of interactive technology and new media. He is currently developing interactive projects in young children’s literature, museums, and historic site interpretation and reproduction.

Teaching

Porter wants his students to get a job. Having personally hired numerous entry level employees throughout his career, he understands the professional skills expected of students entering the workforce and holds his students to that standard. Through real world experiences with external clients and partners, his classes are focused on preparing students to successfully work in the field after graduating.
