Background

Mashiat Tabassum is a doctoral student in Information Science at the University of South Carolina. Before joining the doctoral program, she was involved in teaching and research in the Library and Information Science field at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She also served as a library officer at a private university library dealing with users from a variety of disciplines. 

Tabassum has published several research papers, and her current research focuses on developing a sustainable public library service model incorporating value co-creation tailored for elderly users.

Research Interests

Health information literacy, public libraries, information seeking behavior.
