College announces 2019 Digital Media Academy

Posted January 24, 2019

The College of Information and Communications will host its inaugural Digital Media Academy: Advancing Diversity in Digital Media from May 13-17, 2019, at the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Students from diverse backgrounds are invited to apply for the week-long video storytelling camp, which will prepare them for a spectrum of media careers.

“We’re increasingly hearing from employers that they need diverse talent,” said Dr. Tom Reichert, dean of the college. “This is our effort to help the profession as much as possible, while also providing a valuable learning opportunity for students from the CIC and area HBCUs.”
