Shana Watson spent four years teaching first grade in Orangeburg and Richland county school districts where she was nominated for 2017-2018 teacher of the year.
Watson teaches University 101 (The Student in the University). This course is taught every fall semester to provide support for incoming freshman class. This course helps students transition into higher education and the potential roles a student will have within the university. Watson is also a SLIS adjunct faculty member and plans to teach courses like Storytelling and Children’s Literature.

Watson and her fiancé, William, love dogs and have rescued two in the past year. They have three dogs together, Boss, Phoebe “Bebe”, and Brutus.
