The SC Innovates Pitch Competition is a judged competition hosted by the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA).
Leading Up to Finals
The competition will feature a Top 25 Round with each team presenting their idea on scheduled Zoom meetings during the week of Oct. 21-28. Finalists will be notified by Nov. 1 and are expected to present live in Columbia on Thursday, Nov. 14.
A panel of judges will identify award winners for the following categories:
- Undergraduate – Idea Only
- Undergraduate – Underway or Monetized
- Graduate – Idea only
- Graduate – Underway or monetized
Finals Schedule
Nov. 14: Pitchers/teams will present in front of a live audience of three judges, a timekeeper, and SC Innovates event attendees. There will be a 10-minute time slot for each pitch (4 minute pitch, 6 minute judge Q&A, transition time).
