Research and Reports

Current Research

  • The Constitutional Law Center recently received a Racial Justice and Equity Fund award from the university's Office of the Vice President for Research to examine the legal histories of Southern school districts and their potential connections to school inequality today.
  • The Center is also planning a research project to analyze recent civics education legislation nationwide for bipartisanship, narrative approach, and citizenship models.

Past Research

  • The Center recently completed an investigation into the role of race in Southern states' adoption of constitutional provisions for local educating funding and control after Reconstruction. This project was funded in part by a grant through the university's Office of the Vice President for Research, and the Center will make its summary report available here soon.
