Individual Teacher Assistance
The Center offers teachers one-on-one technical assistance to help prepare units, lessons plans, and other instructional materials.
We are happy to help teachers with any aspect of instruction on the Constitution, government, or similar topics--from developing engaging lesson plans on the separation of powers to cultivating respectful and civil classroom discussions on complex or delicate issues using primary sources.
If your classroom might benefit from the Center's technical assistance, contact the Center's Constitutional Law Fellow by email or telephone. We are happy to schedule a phone or videoconference meeting to assist your classroom preparation.
Professional Development Programs
The Center provides professional development programs in the form of in-person and online seminars.
We offer seminars on various Constitutional and government topics of interest to teachers, from cultivating respectful and civil classroom discussions on controversial issues with primary sources to potential frameworks for understanding the Constitution.
Check out our events page for our upcoming teacher training programs. If you would like the Center to deliver a teacher training program to your school or district, simply contact the Center's Constitutional Law Fellow by email or telephone. We are happy to schedule an in-person or videoconference seminar.
Classroom Resources
We share classroom resources previously developed by teachers with the Center's technical assistance. We are grateful to the excellent teachers who have prepared these materials and generously agreed to let us share them.
