National Legal Mentoring Consortium

About

The Center was a founding member of the National Legal Mentoring Consortium and hosted the first NLMC conference in 2008. The consortium has since grown to 60 members and hosts a national conference every two years. The 2018 National Legal Mentoring Consortium Conference was held April 12–14 at the law school. Over 120 participants attended, representing 24 states, Canada and Brazil. Events included keynote speeches by David Wilkins of Harvard Law School and William Hubbard of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, as well as substantive panels, PED talks, and breakout sessions on mentoring challenges, initiatives, technology, and best practices. The 2024 National Legal Mentoring Consortium Conference was held on October 24, 2024, and focused on “The Future of Legal Mentoring: Navigating Supervised Practice, Technology, and A.I. While Maintaining Civility.”
