With legal landmarks such as the South Carolina Statehouse, the South Carolina Supreme Court, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, the National Advocacy Center, and the Childrens Law Center within a two-block radius, South Carolina Law anchors the statelegal corridor, and is ideally situated to serve both the legal community and the next generation of lawyers.


Academic Year Law School Building Hours

Senate Street Hours 7 AM–9 PM 9 AM–9 PM 1 PM–9 PM

School of Law employees and students may access the building 24/7 with their Carolina Card through the handicapped access door on Senate Street.

The Gervais Street doors will unlock at the same time in the morning as the Senate Street doors, but lock at 6 PM on days when the building is open.

The building will be closed during the University Fall/Spring semester break and on University holidays.

Classroom doors will be unlocked 7 AM–6:30 PM, Monday through Thursday and 7 AM-5:00 PM on Friday. Classroom doors will be locked all other days and times and during University holidays. Law school students may access the classrooms with their Carolina Cards from 7 AM–11 PM every day.

All other exterior doors are not accessible for entry.
