Annual scholarship support has a major impact on the lives of our law students by providing essential funds for their education. Scholarships also enable the law school to compete for students with exemplary academic records and proven leadership qualities.
The purpose of this endowment is to provide funds for assistance with law school loan repayment by graduates of the University of South Carolina School of Law who work as public defenders.
This fund was established in 2019 in recognition of the upcoming retirement of School of Law dean Rob Wilcox in May 2020. Scholarships from this fund honor the legacy of Wilcox, 1981 law, and his wife, Lisa, and their dedication to the law school, its students, faculty, staff members and alumni.
