Education professor and former College of Education dean, Lemuel Watson, was recently named the host of ETV’s Carolina Classroom series. The program, which focuses on education matters in South Carolina, will broadcast every other month with the new season set to begin September 27 at 7:00 p.m. on ETV. This episode will focus on making college affordable and feature experts in financial aid to offer advice on applying for and financing higher education.

 

I am excited about this new opportunity to discuss the educational issues that our schools in South Carolina are facing – from the recruitment and retention of K-12 teachers to educational policies that effect higher education.

 

Watson has served as a panelist and a guest-host of Carolina Classroom for several years. Watson also serves as director of the Center for Innovation in Higher Education within the College of Education.
