Application Process
You must apply to receive funding each academic year. Applications are usually available for the next academic year at https://www.scstudentloan.org/ by late February or early March. The academic year that you are applying for should display on the first page of the application.
After you complete the online application, you must deliver the original either in person or by mail to the Gamecock EdQuarters office:
College of Education
Wardlaw College, Room 113
Attention: SC Teacher’s Loan
820 Main St, Columbia, SC 29208
After we verify your application information, the Gamecock EdQuarters staff will send the form to the Financial Aid office. You will hear if you have received any funding after Financial Aid and the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation complete their processing.
Eligibility
Freshmen may be eligible for the loan without meeting the Praxis Core requirement. To be eligible after the Freshman year, students must meet the Praxis Core requirement by exemption or passing all sections of the exam.
