What it is:

  • Readers can view this recap of the 2024 SC District Showcase to look back on the day’s events. The release features photos, presentations, resources, and more.
  • SC TEACHER convened the SC District Showcase on June 5, 2024, the first of an annual occurrence.
  • The event centered around strategic planning with SC Teacher Working Conditions Survey data, including a research presentation, educator panel, and breakout sessions.
  • Around 100 attendees from 21 districts and schools and 15 state education organizations gathered to exchange ideas and experiences.

Why it matters: Through events like this, SC TEACHER helps school districts, education organizations, and state leaders work to better understand SC-specific data and its impact. Attendees took steps toward establishing data-driven policy and practices, exploring protocols for using survey data, implementing ongoing strategies, and drawing upon other resources.

Housed in the USC College of Education, SC TEACHER is a research consortium focused on connecting data from South Carolina’s educator pipeline with statewide policies. The consortium is in its third year of legislative funding and releases new research each month.
