Background
Stephanie Richards serves as the manager of planning and technology for the Office of Student Services. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she began her career in higher education in 2012 with the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management.
In her current role, Richards oversees daily operations, manages the advising calendar, leads the implementation of student services technologies and collaborates closely with campus student support offices. She previously served on the USC Advising Technology Committee and was elected co-chair, a role she held for two years.
Richards' dedication to student success and institutional excellence has been widely recognized. In 2019, she received the HRSM Staff Member of the Year Award. She served as a USC Staff Senator from 2024 to 2026, contributing to the Membership and Bylaws Committee and was elected USC Staff Senate Parliamentarian for the 2026-27 term.
In 2025, Richards received two prestigious honors: the USC Institutional Academic Advising Award for Advising Administrator and the USC Staff Excellence in Innovation Award.
