Ways to Give Back
Giving back is a rewarding way to reconnect with the college and make a difference in the lives of students and the future of your alma matter.
We are always looking for ways to get alumni engaged with the college so that our students can learn from industry professionals. Here are just a few of the opportunities to get involved:
- be a guest speaker
- attend an event
- hire an HRSM intern
- exhibit at a job fair
- advocate for Carolina
- participate in HRSM 301—The Marnie Pearce Professionalism Seminar
- participate in Alumni Society Career Night
- become a mentor
- help recruit high school students to the College of HRSM
- sponsor an alumni event in your area
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, or if you have other ideas, please

Make a Gift
A gift to the Alumni Society supports career networking and event opportunities for the HRSM alumni community as well as travel opportunities for current students. The fund provides scholarships and awards each year to worthy students who are interested in study abroad, Maymester course destinations and industry conferences. For many students, these opportunities to explore new countries and places would not be possible without a travel scholarship.
Giving to the Alumni Society can be as easy as buying a cup of coffee. You can set up a recurring payment of $5 a month, and it will go a long way as a gift we can count on. Or, make a one-time donation — there are plenty of ways to give and every dollar helps.
If you choose to make a gift to the Alumni Society, select "Colleges and Schools" from the drop down menu after following the link here, then choose "Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management" from the second drop down. From there you will see a check box to select for the "Alumni Society."
Your gift to the HRSM Alumni Homecoming Party silent auction means the world to our students—literally. The funds raised go to the Alumni Society Fund which provides HRSM students with study abroad scholarships and opportunities to attend industry conferences, while also contributing to HRSM alumni operations.
