- Marketa Kubickova was elected vice president of the ICHRIE (International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education) Southeast, Central & South American (SECSA) Federation.
- Armen Shaomian delivered the keynote address at the Innovation in Music Conference at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden.
- Numerous Sport and Entertainment Management faculty members and Ph.D. students presented their research at the 2022 North American Society for Sport Management Conference in Buckhead, Georgia.
- Students Grace Laria (Sport and Entertainment Management major), Courtney McKinney (Retailing with emphasis in Fashion Merchandising and Digital Innovations major, Sport and Entertainment Management minor), Maya Michiko (Interdisciplinary Studies major) and DeJean Williams (Hospitality Management major) are the 2022 recipients of the College of HRSM Internship Support Scholarship, which was created to provide financial support to students who have secured a competitive internship that provides valuable career experience but is unpaid.

- DJ Hauben (Sport and Entertainment Management, ‘22) began an internship in the legal department at Major League Soccer (MLS) headquarters in New York City. DJ will be attending Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in the fall, working to earn her J.D. and master's in Sports Law and Business concurrently.
