Career Highlights (so far):
- A third-year retailing student with a concentration in fashion merchandising and digital innovations, Jordyn is also an honors college student.
- Her first pageant was Miss Gamecock where she won the title, and she will represent USC in the Miss South Carolina pageant this summer.
- Won categories of Best Talent, Best Fitness, Best Interview, and Miss Fundraiser in the Miss Gamecock Pageant.
- After transferring to USC, she participated in the Pillars for Carolina program.
- Served as a volunteer with Gamecock Pantry and is working to fight food insecurity
as Miss Gamecock.
- Jordyn says: "I visit schools and talk to students about how not everyone is able to eat 3 meals a day and to think twice before wasting food. I also love to answer questions students have about USC, pageantry, and the job of Miss Gamecock."
- Experienced dancer, did dance for the talent portion of the Miss Gamecock competition.
- Cohost of "Sorry Not Sorry" podcast, available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
- Hopes to one day launch her own inclusive women’s clothing brand.
- Jordyn says: "It's unfortunate to go into a store and not be able to find anything in your size or need everything altered. I want to be able to fix that."
Why Miss Gamecock?
- Jordyn wants to use her platform to inspire younger Black women.
- Jordyn says: "I grew up not seeing many people that looked like me in the 'spotlight,' so now being able to be that inspiration for younger girls is not only rewarding but is also healing my inner child in a way."
- Jordyn also hopes to emphasize the presence of Miss Gamecock, especially to audiences who may be unaware of it.
