- Finnea Loftus (Retailing - Fashion Merchandising and Digital Innovations) and her team won the Case Competition at the Abercrombie & Fitch Freshman Forum.
- Hospitality Management majors Lexie Bado and Samantha Koval were chosen as recipients of the 2022 Joe Perdue Scholarship from the Club Management Association of America. Only 12 students nationwide receive the prestigious scholarship this year, and UofSC was the only school with more than one recipient.
- Rich Harrill served as a destination advisor for a tourism marketing delegation from Kyrgyzstan, recommending the creation of high-quality short videos for social media to stimulate tourist interest in Kyrgyzstan.
- David Cardenas, Lori Pennington-Gray and Ashley Schroeder met with key stakeholders in Caye Caulker, Belize to work on a tourism crisis management plan for the island.
- Sport and Entertainment Management majors Olivia Ballweg, Emily Jetton, Cameron Jones, Charles Cavanagh, Emma Jones, Madi Butler, Cameron Driscoll and Darien Killebrew worked at the MLB All-Star festivities in Los Angeles with CSC - Contemporary Services Corporation.

- Lauren Ann Johnson (Sport and Entertainment Management, '12) helped lead the Washington Wizards to win the NBA International Strategy Award. Lauren is Vice President, Global Partnership Strategy & Development for Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the Wizards’ parent company.
- Meredith Cordova (Hospitality Management, ‘19) started a new position as group sales coordinator with Blackberry Farm luxury hotel and resort in Walland, Tennessee.
- Gene Willis (Sport and Entertainment Management, ‘99), corporate social responsibility manager for GEHA Health, helped lead the company’s successful effort to provide swim lessons for approximately 200 children from underserved communities in the Kansas City area.
