- Department of Sport and Entertainment Management Associate Professor Armen Shaomian delivered the keynote address at the 2021 MIRAC Conference in Stockholm.
- Department of Retailing Associate Professor Jung-Hwan Kim presented her research entitled, "Enhancing consumer shopping experience through augmented reality and virtual reality," at the Global Fashion Management Conference.
- Director of Corporate Engagement Erica Lake’s article, "A case study of Black students' perception of experiential learning at PWIS," was published as the cover story of the November National Association of Colleges and Employers Journal.
- Sport and entertainment management major Heather Hinz made the 2021 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for performance on the field and in the classroom.
- The following students, all hospitality management majors, were inducted into Eta Sigma Delta. The international hospitality management honor society recognizes hospitality and tourism students for outstanding academic achievement, meritorious service and demonstrated professionalism.
