- Sport and Entertainment Management Ph.D. student Misun Won received an NASSM Doctoral Grant for her research on partitioned pricing and cause-related fees for sporting events. Hers was one of only three funded projects.
- Alumnus Mike Boykin and faculty members Danny Morrison and Susan O’Malley were featured guests at a Charlotte Sports + Business forum on the opening of sports after COVID-19.
- Robin DiPietro and Charles Partlow organized and led two industry panels for students entering the job market during and after COVID-19.
- Marketa Kubickova was elected to serve as the director of industry services for ICHRIE-SECSA federation.
- Alumni Chad Dowdy, Olivia Hyatt, Rebecca Lino, Rasheed Muhammad, Keith Munns and Carmen Steiner took part in a panel organized by Tina Weaver, Erica Lake, Katye Daley and Bryony Wardell on exploring non-traditional HRSM careers.
