Lauren LeJeune, Ph.D., BCBA
College of Education
Lauren LeJeune earned a Ph.D. in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. Prior to her doctoral program, she attended Louisiana State University, where she earned an M.Ed. in Special Education and a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education (mild to moderate disabilities). LeJeune is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®).
LeJeune began her career a classroom teacher in a K-2 setting, where she primarily worked with students diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (e.g, autism spectrum disorder). LeJeune worked as a research assistant while completing her doctoral program and gained additional experience in assessing problem behaviors; designing academic and behavioral interventions; training and coaching parents, teachers, and paraprofessionals; conducting single case research; and supervising students in an applied behavior analysis program.
Interests and Expertise
LeJeune currently teaches graduate-level applied behavior analysis course work and supervises practicum experiences. She is primarily interested in identifying and designing effective academic and behavioral interventions for students with disabilities, especially students who engage in challenging behaviors. She also has research and clinical interests related to educator/caregiver training, practical behavioral assessment, and use of single case designs.
