COACHE Survey Town Hall Meetings scheduled

Vice Provost Cheryl L. Addy will host the first set of town hall meetings next week to discuss the 2019 Faculty Satisfaction Survey conducted by the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

The first set of town halls will focus on the Nature of Work and the Resources to Get It Done.  The meetings will be held on Monday, March 2 from 2:30 – 4 p.m. and Tuesday, March 3 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the Karen J. Williams Courtroom in the School of Law. Both sessions will be live-streamed and recorded at the links listed below. The same information will be presented during both meetings.

More than 1,700 full-time faculty at UofSC Columbia were invited to participate in the survey. Over the next two months, we will share more detailed results of the survey to faculty groups including several town hall meetings on various topics. The discussions at these meetings will lead to development of initiatives to enhance existing strengths and address challenges and barriers identified in the survey.

The COACHE website includes a section to submit comments and questions about the report and the broader COACHE survey. Questions submitted prior to the town hall meetings will be given priority for responses at the meetings.
