The University of South Carolina has a variety of university committees that monitor, review and guide decision-making on campus and facilitate collaboration with faculty, staff and students for programs and initiatives.

The Office of the Provost and Faculty Senate are responsible for appointing members to faculty committees.  The provost's office also appoints members to various special advisory committees including the Classroom Enhancement and Scheduling Committee (CESC), Space Needs and Planning (SNAP) and the Provost's Advisory Committee on Women's Issues (PACWI).
