Arnett, who was previously the dean of the University of Kentucky’s College of Public Health, began as the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at South Carolina on August 1.

As the chief academic officer of the University of South Carolina, the provost oversees the schools and colleges of the USC Columbia campus.
