A forum to discuss policing in the 21st century will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, beginning at 5:30 in the USC School of Law Auditorium.
Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Joan T. A. Gabel, and Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin will open the event. The forum, hosted by the Office of the Provost, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Lead the Way and Student Government will be facilitated by students Michael Parks and Morgan Lewis. Featured panelists include Henri Montieth Treadwell, faculty members Geoffrey Alpert, Todd Shaw and Seth Stoughton, and William “Skip” Holbrook, Chief of Police for the City of Columbia.
The first 180 attendees receive free tickets to the State Museum’s featured exhibit, “RACE: Are We So Different?”
