Dr. Peter Duffy, Professor of Theatre and Dance, heads the Master of Arts in Teaching program in theatre education in the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. His experience includes serving as a Faculty Associate in the Preston Living-Learning Community, where he developed a deep commitment to mentoring students beyond the classroom, as well as leading the university’s 2022 Theme Semester on “Play,” a campus-wide initiative that fostered interdisciplinary research, creative programming, and meaningful mentorship opportunities. A theatre education scholar whose work spans applied theatre, culturally responsive pedagogy, cognition and the arts, and community-based devising, Dr. Duffy has built his career around creating collaborative environments in which students and communities can thrive.
