College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management

Academic Affiliate Program

Each year, USC's College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management (HRSM) hosts multiple academic affiliates. The Academic Affiliate Program covers almost every continent, including Ireland, Turkey, China and South Korea, just to name a few. We encourage academic affiliates to share their experience and knowledge with us by hosting small lectures while they are at the University of South Carolina. A tremendous amount of joint research has been conducted with College of HRSM faculty.

The College of HRSM has a robust academic affiliate program that provides opportunities for research, joint teaching, database accessibility, office space and summer housing at our Columbia, South Carolina campus. The University of South Carolina international offices provide exchange-based immigration services as needed.

Goals of the Program

  • Collaboration with an HRSM faculty member in research and publication
  • Contribution to HRSM guest lecture series
  • Enhancement between affiliate's home institution and USC
  • Future research or data collection
