Dr. Hollis studies the role of brain mitochondrial function in neurodevelopment and psychiatric diseases.
Dr. Jasnow is interested in the neural mechanisms that regulate learning, especially aversive memories like fear.
Dr. McDonald is interested in the neuroanatomy of the amygdala and its connections with other brain regions.
Dr. McQuail studies the interactions between stress and age-related cognitive dysfunction.
Dr. Mott's lab studies the mechanisms of synaptic plasticity and the interaction between neurotransmitters systems that alter brain function under both normal and pathological conditions.
Dr. Pocivavsek examines the cellular and molecular mechanisms responsible for the interaction between sleep and cognitive function.
Dr. Reagan's lab examines the pathways by which both emotional and metabolic stress impacts the function of the brain. He also is the course director for Medical Pharmacology.
Dr. Walsh is interested in the development of new approaches to discover ion channel modulations.
Dr. Wilson's research focuses on neural control of the circulation. He also is the course director for Medical Physiology.
