Medical Library

The Charles S. and Donna H. Bryan School of Medicine Library serves as the School of Medicine's information gateway to over 178,000 electronic journals, over 1,200 electronic textbooks, over 90 biomedical databases and more.

The mission of the Charles S. and Donna H. Bryan School of Medicine Library is to provide exemplary library and information services to support the education, research and patient care programs of the School of Medicine, and to provide high quality health information to the people of South Carolina.

Library users are able to access electronic resources onsite or remotely if they are affiliated with the School of Medicine. The Medline database may be accessed via PubMed or Ovid.

The Library’s print collection consists of more than 68,000 volumes.

The Library is involved in outreach initiatives at the local, regional and national level. 

The Center for Disability Resources (CDR) Library, which is a special collection focusing on developmental disabilities, is one of the largest collections of its kind in the country.
