Device Loans

Try a device in the environment where you will use it before making your purchase decision. We offer free assistive technology device loans for up to four weeks with a signed agreement. Call us at 803-935-5337 to ask about a specific device or learn about your device options.

How to Borrow a Device

  1. Find devices you would like to borrow.
  2. Complete a device loan request form.
  3. Contact SCATP or call us at 803.935.5263 (toll free at 800.915.4522) for more information. 

Shipping and Returns

We ship devices anywhere in South Carolina. Initial shipping is free. The borrower is required to pay return shipping and insurance based on the value of the device. Devices may be returned in person to avoid shipping fees. Estimates of return shipping costs are available on request.

Find Devices to Borrow

Search the list of devices to learn learn more about the device from the manufacturer. To check availability, request a device loan. Types of devices for loan include:

  • Communication Tablets with Apps
  • Adapted keyboards and mice
  • Vision
  • Hearing 
  • Daily living
  • Environmental controls 
  • Adapted toys
  • Switches
