store’s name will be announced on April 2 based on the combined voting results across
all platforms.
The store, which will be located on the first floor of the Byrnes building on the corner of Sumter and College streets, will feature a wide range of Apple products, such as tablets, laptops, watches and accessories, as well as other tech merchandise. The store will also provide services such as device repair and diagnostics.
The store will be the first of its kind in the region and only the second student-run Apple Authorized Campus Store in the nation. The retail side of the store will be managed by the university’s Department of Retailing within the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. Faculty will lead the store management and students will perform day-to-day operations as part of their experiential learning curriculum. Apple authorized staff will conduct in-house service and repair on products. The store will serve the Gamecock community, including students, faculty, staff and alumni.
