Genetic Counselor Assistant

Are you a University of South Carolina undergraduate student seeking exposure to genetic counseling?

If you’re serious about being a genetic counselor, you are already aware that sustained experience in a medical genetics setting is a plus when you apply for graduate school. We would like to engage a promising undergraduate student as a part-time genetic counselor assistant. The selected candidate would assist genetic counselor faculty with educational and administrative projects in a 10 to 15 hour per week position.

How to Apply

Applicants should submit a cover letter expressing their interest, future education plans, a current resume/curriculum vitae, their most recent undergraduate transcript plus two letters of recommendation (one of which must be written by a USC professor).   • Apply for Spring Semester 2019 before December 1
  • Apply for Summer Session 2019 before May 1
  • Apply for Fall Semester 2019 before August 1

Selected applicants will be contacted for interview. One qualified genetic counselor assistant will be selected per semester.
