About the Program
This webinar will review travel guidelines for people with disabilities, such as those
with mobility limitations, vision or hearing loss, or cognitive disabilities may require
special attention and adaptation of transportation services. Tammy will share recommendations
to assist in ensuring safe, accessible travel for travelers with disabilities.
Participants will learn:
- what they need to do prior to travel regarding medical considerations, assistive
technology, and service animals
- what they need to know as it relates to air travel and cruises
- about resources to assist them with travel
About the Presenter
Tammy Wallace
Tammy is a Program Coordinator II at the SC Assistive Technology Program, Center for
Disability Resources, USC School of Medicine. She works with individuals with disabilities,
their families and professionals who support them to find assistive technology to
help them at home, school or work. She has a special interest in helping individuals
with disabilities be able to travel wherever they want to go.
