Learn how the Empower software works on the Accent communication devices from PRC-Saltillo.
See a demonstration of new settings and options available for users. Learn how and
why these settings can be used.
Presentation Objectives :
- Participants will be able to successfully use Vocabulary Builder and Button Boost
to target vocabulary in Empower
- Participants will be able to know how to add button actions, including Listomatic
in Empower.
- Participants will be able to describe how IR remotes can be used for their clients.
About the Presenter
Katie Lee
Katie Lee has been practicing speech language pathology for over 12 years. She received
her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from North Carolina State University
and her Master of Science from East Carolina University. She previously worked as
an evaluating AAC SLP for the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program. Katie
now is the regional consultant for PRC-Saltillo speech generating devices for all
of North and South Carolina, where she provides device consultations, demonstrations,
and trainings.
