About the Program

As a network library of the National Library Service for the Blind & Print Disabled, the South Carolina State Library – Talking Book Services division (SCSL-TBS) also sponsors an Assistive Technology Petting Zoo (ATPZ) of equipment and supplies uniquely suited to helping libraries statewide make their existing collections more accessible. The most unique feature of the program is the proprietary device known as the Talking Book Machine.

This webinar will provide the following:

  1. a demonstration of how to use the Talking Book Machine
  2. information on how qualified S.C. residents can become patrons and receive library services free of charge
  3. information on how library staff and patrons can utilize items available from SCATP to make their library experience more enjoyable.
