You can enter the master’s program with an undergraduate degree in any number of fields. The master’s program provides training in both educational psychology and research methods and can include opportunities for research as well.
What kinds of work will I be able to do with this degree?
The master’s program can serve as an excellent foundation for pursuing a Ph.D. in the future. It can also provide essential training for immediate employment in school districts, departments of education, evaluation and research firms, and non-profit agencies.
What is the typical course work?
Your course work will include research approaches and tools survey design such as:
- research and statistical packages
- design of educational surveys
- program evaluations constructing cognitive instruments
and course foundational topics in our field such as:
- development (child, adolescent, and/or adult)
- learning and instruction
