Anna Redwine

Originally from New Orleans, Anna came to USC for graduate school and loved South Carolina so much that she decided to stay!  At the Honors College, Anna advises business and engineering students and leads our cultural programming. Anna is also an internationally exhibited visual artist whose work is held in noted private and public collections.

As an artist, Anna uses the creative process to engage in experiences of empathy. Her artistic practice is grounded in drawing but often branches into other media like installation and interdisciplinary collaborations, most recently with poet Julia Johnson (Lexington, KY) and composer Tim Daisy (Chicago, IL). Her work has been exhibited in museums and universities throughout the US and abroad, including the San Francisco Center for the Book, CICA Museum in South Korea, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, the Asian Cultural Center in New York, and the Art Gallery of St Albert, in Alberta, Canada. She has received numerous awards, notably recognition from the Southern Arts Federation and South Carolina Arts Commission, and inclusion in the South Carolina State Art Collection. She has been invited to participate in residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, Penland School of Craft, and D2P in Brighton, England, among others.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
