USC Sports, broadcasting and traveling
Outside the classroom at USC, I love spending my time hanging out with my friends, playing (too many) intramural sports and traveling in the local area! Following graduation, I hope to pair my degrees by going into a career in Urban Planning, focusing on working in Geographic Information Systems.

Why I chose the South Carolina Honors College
It had everything I was looking for: passionate students, friendly faculty and incredible opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
My advice for prospective students: Say yes to as many things as you can in college!
Favorite Honors class: The Culture of Tailgating in America & Globally – I loved this class because it gave me the perfect opportunity to pair my passion for sports with a class that also expanded my business knowledge, as we learned about the managerial, legal and ethical issues related to tailgating in the sport and entertainment business. It was also a really cool way to get more involved in the local Columbia community!
Favorite question during an information session: Do you feel separated from the general university? Does Honors feel like a bubble?
My answer is always absolutely not! Part of why I love being in the Honors College is because I have access to all the amazing perks and opportunities that the SCHC offers, while also being a student at the greater university as well - it's the best of both worlds! I've joined clubs and organizations that have given me so many close friends, roommates and coworkers, both in the SCHC and not. I've had great classmates in ALL of my classes, and the social events at USC (football games, Greene Street tabling, Soda City, etc.) make the University feel connected. Overall, I've never felt like I've been in an Honors bubble during my time here!
